Application report
  • Fill level measurement in liquid feeding, pre-wells, repositories and other containers

Continuous level measurement, independent of product properties, e.g. dry matter content and buildup

  • Operating priciple

The sensor is mounted above the storage tank and measures contactlessly the filling level according to the ultrasonic measuring principle.

The measuring signal is output via an analogue output and can be further processed in the controller. In addition, up to 4 adjustable limits are possible to trigger direct control operations from the sensor. An integrated data logger also allows to store up to 500,000 measured values and thus to analyze the substrate feed of the last few weeks. The measured values can be read out via a Bluetooth interface and further processed in Excel.

The Sonicont USN4 from ACS-CONTROL-SYSTEM GmbH proves its reliability in a biogas plant and shows how robust this sensor can work. For level measurement in the feed auger to the digester, the Sonicont USN4 measures maize and grass silage and other materials suitable for feeding a biogas plant. The contamination-resistant Sonicont USN4 is particularly dense, has a sturdy housing and a durable user interface. Therefore, the Sonicont USN4 can reliably measure and provide the data even with this type of contamination.
